Paper Plate Party Hats
Over hither, we are kind of obsessed with making party hats. Information technology's such a great open-concluded activity that allows for artistic freedom while opening the door to imaginary play. Plus it makes them feel special.
The idea for these paper plate hats came from the whimsical and playful blog Child Play Do. If you have five extra minutes, hop over to their blog considering it will put a smile on your face! It'southward one of my favorites.
For fine art form, I set out the pre-cut political party hats, some collage material and scissors so that the children could cut their own shapes (forth with eye and scalloped circle paper punches which they LOVE), and some mucilage in a bowl with a castor. The pom-poms came out at the end for the last scrap of embellishment.
Read Child Play Do's blog postal service if yous want to see how the newspaper plates were cut. They did information technology a really cute style with pinking scissors!
This would be such a unproblematic and fun arts and crafts for a birthday party, too. In that location is a piffling prep work involved, just and so the rest is all kid-led. At that place is some drying fourth dimension with the glue, so maybe for a party yous put out glue sticks instead and maybe an adult helps with a mucilage gun for the pom-poms.
Happy lid making!
